Also there have been some recent questions about a product called the RetroAdapt as it a clone/copy and can you use our cables with it. It has been brought to our attention that these cables are not wired the same way. This can cause issues or even damage to your controller. We feel it is our duty to protect the users and to inform them that swapping out pins and wires, however justified in a particular use cases, is unwise and misleading to the users of the products. To put this in a more direct but easy to understand way, would you condone a battery manufacture for a car to make black positive and red ground? I would certainly hope not, how is that any different? As a manufacturing you have a responsibility to your buyers to show allegiance to the original design. If you do not agree with it, then make that decision clear.
